Car Boot Strap?

Does any one know of or experience of difficulty reaching to close a car boot? 

I have a relative, very short with a permanent wrist disability. 

It's become exceptionally difficult to reach up and pull the boot lid to close it. 

I'm wondering is there such a thing as a belt or strap made for this purpose or suggestions how to make this easier.

just attach some cord inside the boot so it can be pulled down till it's reachable.

i got my husband to pop-rivet stome webbing strap in mine.

when i have to get a new car, i'll look for one with an auto boot closer!
