WASHINGTON — As U.S. and Ukrainian officials prepare to meet in Saudi Arabia this week, President Donald Trump has privately made clear to aides that a signed minerals deal between Washington and Kyiv won’t be enough to restart aid and intelligence sharing with the war-torn country, according an administration official and another U.S. official.

Trump wants the deal, which would give the U.S. a stake in Ukraine’s mineral resources, signed. But he also wants to see a change in Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s attitude toward peace talks, the officials said, including a willingness to make concessions such as giving up territory to Russia. Trump also wants Zelenskyy to make some movement toward elections in Ukraine and possibly toward stepping down as his country’s leader, the officials said."

Just proves a point really, bend just a little to bullies and they will just carry on wanting more. Pausing the aid was just his way of saying we are stopping it, as if the rest of the world didnt know that. Lets be honest here, if he restarted the aid, that would have just upset Putin, and we cant have that can we with all that wealth in the ground. If I was Z i would tell this *** Trump to get stuffed for a second time, because Trump will just keep demanding more, just like Putin will carry on doing so.

We all know what Trump’s master plan for peace is; Ukraine to surrender and America to have unfettered access to their natural resources – it’s a good thing that he was not president during WWII.

Trump is on Russia's side for whatever reason. Everyone knows it.

Zelensky and Europe are just going along with this period of phony peace talking to delay the inevitable while they make other plans.

Maybe Zel needs to simply write off any help from the US in the next 5 years. Try to appeal to nations whose moral standards rise above the, "I want everything, regardless", philosophy.  Is this coalition of the willing about Europe only, or open to all allied western culture nations globally ?
