Years ago I had on a mix cd a track by Rory that started slowly and increased in tempo representing a train starting then going faster. I have searched on YouTube, listening to loads of his tracks but can't find it.  So frustrating.  Does it ring a bell with anyone?

Thanks JimF, I'm going to listen to the start of these tracks (cos I'll know from then) but I don't actually know if a train is hinted at in the title.  I'll let you know.

Brilliant suggestions Jim, in fact all good train songs, which I love, but still not the one I'm thinking about.  It's driving me mad.  Thanks for your help.  I take it you're a fan since you came up with those titles so fast.

Race the Breeze?

Another brilliant train song, but not the one.  No I didn't imagine it, it really existed!  My kids used to walk round the kitchen at the start, then start running when it speeded up.  They're in their 30s now so you can see how long ago it was.  In fact now I think about it, it was a cassette tape, not a cd.  Thanks anyway

It's probably 'Rock Island Line' recorded with Lonnie Donnegan  😎

FOUND IT!  It's Ghost Blues.  I ploughed through every album he'd done.  Thanks for your help guys

By the way, love Rock Island Line too.  Didn't know he'd done it with Lonnie Donegan.
