Unknown taskbar symbol

Any ideas what it is? and why its suddenly apearing?

looks like some sort of email program

run your spyware checker, and go to add/remove programs and take off what you dont recognise.

Have you tried right-clicking or double-clicking on the icon? This should bring up whatever program it is. Or you could just hover over it with the cursor and it should tell you something.

Ive run 'Spybot' & 'Ad-aware' with no probs,
Even Hijackthis doesnt find anything.

Nothing happens if i L/R click, but if I hover over i get a bubble with a URL that doesnt work, and the domain is registered to a Australian company called TGP.
Incidently, explorer.exe has crashed twice today as well.

Run task manager and see what's running. Click on the 'Processes' tab and you'll see a list, some of which you may recognise, most you probably won't. Google the terms you don't and you might be able to identify the 'intruder' amongst the others you've found. Could be it's harmless, but it shouldn't be running unless you have directed it to, or it's connected with a program you're running. If it's not, get shut of it.

Do you have Avast anti-virus? It looks like one of its warning icons. (When it's scanning emails?)

Thanks guys, it was Avast antivirus tring to scan an old e-mail account I dont use anymore....
