removing internet provider

how do i get rid of my internet provider tiscali. my flatmate has already loaded in bt broadband so can i get rid of it straight away. also at the top of the screen it says: microsoft internet explorer provided by tiscali; does this mean we're still working off it. I've wiped the tiscali connection and we are going through BT as are default connection and thro there modem too.

it just means that tiscalli changed your internet explorer settings when you installed their program. it doesnt mean that you are connecting through tiscalli. cant remember how to change it but it doesnt really matter
