Downloading picture software

Any free decent downloads available of software for editing photos? Sort of like Adobe but doesn't need to be as advanced.

I use FastStone Image Viewer, and I find it excellent. It's a free program, and you can download it from its home site, http://www.faststone.org/

You could also try Picasa from Google.

All the above are very good but have a look at Serif's free stuff (slightly older versions of their present software). PhotoPlus is the photo software but there is also a Vector Drawing program. If you want other stuff like Desktop Publishing and Web creation you'll also find them here - all free:-
