For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.download the latest Java JRE from:
http://www.java.com/en/
then download azureus from:
http://azureus.sourceforge.net/download.php
once all is installed, run azureus. set it up with the wizard that pops up (this is quite important). you'll just need to know your line's upload speed.
then, goto a site that lets you search for .torrent files. this .torrent file you'll download is like a pointer to the actual stuff you want to download. you give the .torrent to azureus, and it gets the stuff you actually want. btw, azureus uses java to run, hence why you need it.
so, you need to have sites that let you find and download these .torrent files. make sure you only use torrents with plenty of seeders and peers, otherwise it won't download very quickly at all. one example site is the Open Office site:
http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/
once done, it'll say complete. the torrent will drop from the top pane of the windows to the bottom pane, and you'll see a "percentage complete" type column, saying how much you've sent back. it's best to let this get to 1.0 first before stopping the torrent and closing azureus. you can now use your downloaded stuff though :)
i prefer to use bitlord as my bit torrent client.install this or your client of choice then visit a site such as www.mininova.org and browse for the file you want.on mininova there is a green arrow next to the file line.by clicking this you will be given the download window immediately, click 'open' to be given the download info straight away or click 'save' to save the torrent to your chosen download file location.
it is easy but takes some getting used to.post again if you still have problems.and dont worry bit torrent in my experience is far and away the safest form of download.i have never received one single virus from using it.
you will be beset using a seperate search site to find music torrents. try www.torrentspy.com and search on album/artist names or click on the catogarys. from there you can download and run a torrent file that will access and download the music for you.
For security i recommend also downloading Peerguardian2 (just google it), it will axe fake files and stop you IP address from being logged with big brother.
