What was the first record/tape/CD you ever bought? And do you still respect yourself for it?

First singles, Wunderbaa by Ten Pole Tudor and stand and deliver by Adam and the Ants; First Album owned Now that's what I call music 4 (was a present) first album purchased For those about to rock, ACDC; first CD Dire straits brothers in Arms (I think!). Do I respect myself for it, hell yes am going home now to play Ten Pole Tudor and remember being thrown out of school discos!
I think the first single I bought was the theme tune to the Rupert the Bear cartoon (yes, it was released as a single!) - 'Rupert, Ruper the Bear, everyone sing his name'.
Am I embarrassed? Well, if I had been 20 when I bought it, probably yes, but as I was only a kiddie, I think I can be excused, can't I??
It was an album by the Bay City Rollers, bought with my pocket money when I was seven. And all seven-year-old girls in Scotland at the time were buying Bay City Rollers albums so I refuse to be ashamed. The best thing was, though, that my gran bought me lovely white nylon Bay City Rollers socks the same day. They had the faces of each Roller running up the side . . . I'm ashamed of that.
