no sound

i have a bush dvd combi and since i used the headphones when watching a film i have no sound.Ive pressed every button on the remote and no luck please can anyone help

Hi. I had this problem once. The headphone socket inside the set had become unsoldered.
As Tigs71 says, it's possible that the socket has become disconnected. It might just be, however, that the spring mechanism inside has got stuck:

When you insert the headphone plug, it pushes a spring contact to one side (in order to disconnect the speakers). When you remove the headphones, the contact should spring back - but it doesn't always do so. Try re-inserting the headphone plug, and pulling it out, several times. This sometimes works.

If the above doesn't work, take the unit back to the retailer. Any electrical equipment is expected to work for 6 years, so you have the right to insist upon a repair or replacement.

As Buenchico says, but also maybe if you spray a ''small'' amount of WD40 into the socket at an angle so it goes in the mechanism and then try re-inserting the plug a few times it might work
