unstable itunes

since updating itunes to the latest version it seems very unreliable and is a nightmare to shut down when it does crash - Ive tried reinstalling it but this did not help

works great for me. try uninstalling both iTunes and quicktime from your system, and then restart it once all uninstalled. you won't lose your music, so don't worry. then, download the latest version of quicktime (that comes packages with iTunes):

http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html

restart once all installed again, and it should work fine.
