Unable to open DVD drive

I can't open my dvd drive manually or by clicking to open it, any ideas on how I can get it to open?

There should be a tiny hole somewhere near the dvd tray.

Stick a pin in it.

Don't know if this of any help but I just had the same problem with my CD drive, with a CD stuck in it. I use Roxio CD creator & purely by chance I discovered there was a driver update. I downloaded this & it worked!

try with that pin again - you may be better off with a paperclip unravelled. You have to push in quite a way and the drawer will come forward a small amount - from then on you can gently pull the drawer all the way forward.

there are some joke / funny programs out there that open the tray for you. they go along the lines of a mug holder or something.

Get a sledgehammer and smash it in, seriously no idea but my cd rewriter got stuck some couple of days ago, I rebooted it 2wice and on the 2nd time it opened up
