My CD ROM drive has been playing up, so I did a PC Doctor diagnostic check on it and this is what it found; CD-ROM / DVD Test: Random Read - **FAILED** SCSI Error 6400H. Failed action: Reading block 292007 SCSI Error 6400H. Failed action: Reading block 297895 SCSI Error 6400H. Failed action: Reading block 293358, Can someone tell me how to fix this?

By the fact that u say that it has been playing up presumably means that there is nothing wrong with any of the CD's you are trying to read, and therefore the problem lies with the hardware itself. As it is a SCSI CDROM, you might have conflicts on your computer, especially if you have recently added any new SCSI devices, if not, then a conflict might still have occured if you play around with the computer settings. The best option would be to uninstall the drive and re-install it with the newest drivers you can find from the manufacturer's website.
