How do I decode an IP address such as 80.7.1.110

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I am not really sure what you mean by decode, but 80.7.1.110 is a class A IP address, Class A 0-126, Class B 128-191, Class C 192-223.
The first part (80) is the network ID and the rest is the host ID. Class A addresses are used by large companies e.g ISP's and Governments and allow over 16 million hosts.
A host is something connected to the network that uses an IP address, either a PC or a network printer.
You can also identify a class of address by its subnet mask, Class A would be 255.0.0.0.
If you want to convert it to binary, do as follows :
128 64 32 16 8 4 2 1
0 1 0 1 0 0 0 0 = 80
0 0 0 0 0 1 1 1 = 7
0 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 = 1
0 1 1 0 1 1 1 0 = 110
