Also poor signal from dish, which will effect all the boxes in some way or another. Need a forced software download and a new LNB, probably a new cable from the dish too, if the installer didnt replace it, especially if you had existing standard sky. Oh, and possibly a new box!!! Although, when I say "new" box, it will actually be a refurbished box. I'm assuming its a PVR2 you have. The new PVR3 box doesn't seem to have as many problems as the PVR2...so far!! Good luck!

I've had no end of problems with mine too...all of the symptoms you describe. It is either a problem with the hard drive, of the sky software - I'm not sure which. Sky won't admit to the latter, for the bad PR it will bring.

I will say this though: After having 3 replacement hard drives of the same spec as the standard Pace box ones, I gave up and bought one of these 250GB beasties! This runs at a lower RPM than the standard fit, and I've had no problems since installing it at Xmas
