Download a copy of DVDshrink (free). Pass your original 'Film' through this and it will compress it to fit 4.7 gig, and also give you the option to compress it even further. Also the option to cut out unwanted audio files etc. You can then burn or save the compressed result. Works a treat!
In Nero there is an option under the Copy and Back up icon named Copy Entire DVD Video.....this allows a non-copy protected DVD Video title to be fitted to a standard 4.7Gb DVD disc with little or no loss of quality and also you can do what "DVD Shrink" does and remove unneccessary parts..........

This also "works a treat" as gastwo would say..............commoner.
The 120 minute value only refers to recording something like a TV program at full bitrate. If you've downloaded something, all that's important is that its size in data terms is 4.7GB or less. If it's more than this, you'll need to follow what Gastwo said, if it is less than this, then you can use Nero or the like to put the files on a blank DVD that should play in a DVD player. It may well be at a lower bitrate than normal DVD's which means that it might occasionally have a blocky picture, but it will be very watchable.
