Digital camera memory

I've just bought a Sony digital camera and need to get a decent memory stick. Should I buy a Sony brand one or are other brands such as SanDisk just as good?

SanDisk are as good as if not better than Sony.

I have a sony camera and have both Sony and Scandisk memory sticks and they both work fine. The only problem I have ever had was with a Sony memory stick pro as this couldn't always be read in all card readers connected to processing machines even though they were supposed to be compatible.
