what jobs are available for calligraphers in uk?

am only 18, i love calligraphy and card writing.but i do not know what jobs are out there for me with my interests.am from africa and recently moved to the uk. and could you also give examples of the companies that would want calligraphy writers

I'm afraid I can't help you regarding employment, but while you're waiting to find something have you thought about producing a portfolio of specimen greetings cards (birthday, Wedding anniversary, Good Luck, New Home, Marriage etc), putting them in plastic folders in a Ring Binder and visiting some of the Greetings Cards shops in your area? Also try in newspaper/tobaconists shops.

A lot of cards these days are really naff, and some shops might welcome the chance to stock a range of better quality hand-inscribed cards.

Also contact colleges to see if they want anybody to handwrite their educational certificates, and well- established companies to see if they want somebody to inscribe Long Service certificates for them.
