Hi

Is there anyway that i can print my own designs onto a CD with it looking professional? I dont have the money to splash out on a special printer so i was wondering if there was some type of paper which i can print onto which sticks onto the CD or something. i was told about a pressing process or something.

Any help appreciated

You need to buy a CD Labelling Kit. This provides you with the software to design your labels, together with an initial supply of labels and an applicator to ensure that the labels are properly attached to the CDs. Most office stationers sell these kits. See here for the one sold by Staples:
http://www.staples.co.uk/ENG/Catalog/cat_sku.asp?CatIds= ,&webid=99960%2D70&affixedcode=WW

Extra matt labels can be puchased, as here:
http://www.staples.co.uk/ENG/Catalog/cat_sku.asp?CatIds= ,&webid=99962%2D70&affixedcode=WW

or (at double the price), for photographic quality printing, you can buy glossy labels:

Hoping this helps,

Chris

Thanks mate Will pop in the local staples get some i think

I was looking into this recently. The print 'n' stamp option is the cheapest, but you can get "Lightscribe" burners that will burn a design onto the disc (you need special discs, and these are a bit dearer than normal). The burners also burn CD/DVDs and run at around 70 for an external one, or 40 for an internal burner.
