Using the AOL e-mail, I tried to attach a single picture but it transmitted all of My Pictures instead of the one. I pressed attach, My Pictures appeared, I right clicked on the picture and selected attach to e-mail. The address of the single picture appeared at the bottom of the e-mail, but when I pressed send it sent all of My Pictures, not just the one. What am I doing wrong, please?

You should have double clicked on the pic you wanted to send - otherwise AOL sends a zipped file wth all as the file name

Yes that's correct double left click the file you want to attach.
