Due to my ineptness with computers i've got loads of duplicate files and folders when I explore my files

Is there any easy way of deleting the duplicates without having to search them out and delete individually?

Please help

Do they all begin with 'copy of', if so, then do a search (from the Start Menu) for all files and folders using copy* as the search entry.

They don't sorry - Thanks tho
You'll need to invest in something like WinOptimiser (free on lots of magazine discs) or look on the Internet for something similar.

I use DoubleKiller (the freeware version) from http://www.bigbangenterprises.de/en/doublekiller/

Read the See More link before trying it.

Warning - the free version does not put the deleted files in the recycling bin (so you do not get to change your mind) - but you can use the Move selected files instead to ensure you dont want them.

Dont scan your windows folder - it will quite happily find all the duplicates there for you, if you delete them you may kill your windows installation.
