I have digital Freeview, and enjoy watching True Movies. However last night I switched on 333 and the screen said 'Not Available'. Have True Movies been switched to another channel and can I still watch it? Also I tried Reality 187 and 188 and got an Indian channel instead. What is going on? I lost TCM a few months ago as well.

Sky moved many of the channels around on the 28th Feb. I think they have tried to consolidate the channels down to a reasonable numbering system.

Any ideas what the new numbers are -- and does anyone recommend any Freeview channels for the 'more mature lady' who doesn't like to watch sport ??
True Movies is on channel 323

You sound as though you have Sky rather than Freeview (they are not the same thing).

If you have a remote control like this you have Sky

TCM is now 319 and True Movies is 323

If you are trying to find a channel then press the large grey button near the top left marked "TV Guide"

This lists the channels into groups such as Movies, Sport, Documentary etc.

You will find "True movies" and "TCM" listed inder Movies.

If you do have Sky there are lots of good channels for the "mature lady" under "Documentaries" and "Lifestyle and Culture" (although depending how much you pay you may not get them)

Ch 258 is UK TV style Garden which features Gardening and Wildlife/Nature programs.

Ch 537 is UK TV History which has lots of interesting programs.

In fact there are lots of interesting channels between 520 and 538.

Here is a list of all the Sky TV channels and radio channels

Thanks vehelpfulguy - yes I have a remote like the one in the photo butI don't pay for Sky monthly, I have something like Freeview with around 30 channels, no Sky films, sport, No Discovery, UKTV, etc. but I do have quite a few channels. It was put in by my TV Man when I had a new TV installed - it has a Sky card tho and was a one off payment. I find I get new channels all the time though, like 108 last month so I'll keep looking. Thanks again everyone.

In 2004 Sky offered a service where you could pay a one-off fee of about 150 for a "FreeSat" card which gives you just the free-to-air channels, so this sounds like what you have!

Question Author
Sounds like it, but I got mine around 2002..

HI, I have freesat.

There are around 150 channels available but about 110 of them are crap. A few days ago I spent 5 hours looking through them then typing out a list of the programmes I wanted to watch then two days later they changed them all around!

Question Author
Toureman, I think this is what I might have. Most of the channels are rubbish, as you say, but sometimes out of the blue you find one you didn't get before which isn't too bad. I printed off the list from www.wildsat.com and printed the list off, went through it on the TV to cross out what I didn't get (as you can tell I was bored yesterday) and now I have a list of everything I want to watch next time I am bored !!
