how do i stop google remembering everything i've ever typed in and displaying it in a drop down menu?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Try this......on the address bar at the top where it says Google is a tiny triangle.....click that for a little menu.....first select Clear Search History to shift what you have, then click Options...click the SEARCH tab and uncheck whatever you don't like, for example Drop Down Search History...and don't forget to click on APPLY at the bottom....commoner.

Click Tools / Options..then the Privacy tab....then the Download History Tab and then Settings down at the bottom....then check Clear private data when closing Firefox ...then OK and at least the menu will empty each session....commoner.
