spreadsheet wont open

ive sent a few spreadsheets as emails to my m8 but he cant open the attatchment, can any1 help

He'll need to install excel on his pc before they'll open.

i dont have excell on mine but it opens when i send it to many of my other email addresses

what prog did u create the spreadsheets in?--for ex u can propably create a duplicate file by saving urs as normal then b4 closing go to save as and save it as whatever prog he has for spread sheets--send that and it will open

send it saved as a csv file & then he can open it with his ssheet

im using microsoft works spreadsheet, but my m8 hasnt or doesnt use that, is there still a way he can open it

hi bantam--ok now i know u have msworks but what does ur friend use--obviously he doesn't have works--or an older version than ur's which cannot open ur doc--he probably doesn't have excel cos generally that would open a works doc--if u do not know what he uses and cannot find out then ur best bet is to do as foulecamp says and save and send it as a csv file

wots a csv file, and how do i send it as 1
