I am having terrible trouble with baby monitors. The 1st (tomy walkabout) were great then a new family moved in next door & I think their Phillips brand stopped ours working. I then purchased BT digital thinking that would be the answer to the interference, wrong! I am now getting a buzzing noise like I am under an electricty pylon, which I'm not!. I thought turning the sound down would help but the lights are illuminated all the time as if there is noise from the baby.

Has anyone had similar problems, what could be causing it, suggestions for another brand or solution? The woman in Boots will be cracking up at me returning all these monitors!

Thanks!

I'm afraid I can't help explain why your monitors keep going wrong, all I can say is we've got the BT Digital one & it's excellent - much, much better than other monitors we tried. We've also used it at friends' houses & holiday cottages in different parts of the country with no problems at all.

The only thing I can think of is there may be an issue with your house wiring? Have you tried running both the main unit & the handset on just batteries?

Hi stoo_pid, thanks for responding. I have tried the monitors in many different ways and always had the same problems until this afternoon when they started working perfectly & they are brilliant.

After speaking to another neighbour I think someone is using equipment that is interfering with the monitors as she is having the same problems. I called the BT helpline & they think it may be someone using radio waves, so unless we know who is our local radio ham we are snookered!

Thanks again
