I recently bought some 99mins cd/r of the net i think they should be 900mb or so. i then realised not all writers wil be compatable with them not to worry i would invest in a new they have come down in price, but surely when i put them in the drive and i go into my computer & view as details they should read as 900mb, but they dont they show as 702mb, will this change when i get a new writer do i need a new writer.

Referring to the web site that I linked to in my previous answer on this subject, choose a suitable recorder. Step two : as far as I know you can only do this with the Nero software, go to file, preferences, expert features and enable the overburn disc at once option and enter the maximum cd length according to the writer's specifications, one drawback is that all cds have to be disc at once not multisession. And remember, if you go back to normal cds to untick the overburn box.
