Does anybody have any idea how I can get my machine that is running windows xp home edition to reboot automatically every 24hours?

Get PStools here: http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/PsTools.html and one of them is pshutdown. Have a scheduled task that runs this with a reboot string.
