An earlier post by WendyS had a link to a cute little kitty cleaning the inside of my screen. Is there a way to download that video so i dont need to access the webpage to view it ?

If you want to save it, have a look in your browser cache (Temporary Internet Files folder for IE) for the file, it should be an swf file. Right click and hold the button and drag it to where ever you want and release the button, select Copy here. It will be saved and then you can rename/move it etc just like any other file.

As an alternative, you can download Flash Saving Plugin (which includes SWF Cache Viewer) from the link I supplied above, when you run the Viewer, it will check the cache for the browser you select, IE (including browser addins like Maxthon etc) or Firefox, you can then save the file.

You're not really catching on; they already have the file saved and they want to be able to open it in windows media player or equivalent.

I do get it. My first post provided a link to a Flash Player! called SWF Opener (yes it is not well named) which will play Flash files stored on your computer.

Peanut then posted that he/she did not have trouble playing them, he/she wanted a way of actually saving them to disk. I posted again stating that you could look in the browser cache for the flash file and drag to the desktop or where ever which would save it. As an alternative I mentioned the Flash Saving Tool which will list all the Flash files in your browser cache which you can selectively save! and then play with SWF Opener or your browser. I prefer SWF Opener because it does not distort the Flash file to fit the window.

The link for both of these is http://www.unhsolutions.net/downloads.html both near the bottom of the page and both freeware.

On the contrary, my interpretation is that they are able to save the flash file (by selecting save target as) and are able to play the file (by opening the previously saved file using internet explorer), but they would like to be able the saved file in the same way as they might play a normal video clip or song.

But I'm really too tired to type for some reason today.
