The missus and I have taken up Greeting Card making as a hobby in our spare time. So far we have only seen the products we need at large crafters fairs and places like HobbyCraft. We have found the prices rather high. There are some sellers on Ebay as well. All the stuff.....card..paper..glitter...embellishments etc.ect seems to have a weighty mark-up. [Expensive]

Does anyone know where we can get the materials we need at a reasonable price - maybe a wholesalers or "trade outlet".

We are located in SW Scotland.

Thanks.
QVC are pretty reasonable.
I make cards ..have a look on Ebay under crafts ..card making.
Loads of lovely things at reasonable prices.Lots of "Buy it now "stuff.
Sorry ...must read posts before answering ..slaps hand !!
I have had some nice stuff from Ebay though.

Don't know what they're called (probably different all over the place, Bargain Books maybe?!), but I bought packets of blank cards and envelopes from those cheap book shops you get all over the place. I think it was about 8 for a pack of 50, and they have different colours and sizes. Worth popping in next time you pass one.

www.toyshackdirect.com have card making supplies and free delivery

If you have a 'works' book shop they stock some of the basics at cheap prices

do cheap items which seem ok, look out for some of the craft / card making magazines which usualy come with freebies, and have an intensive list in the back of shops.

Try charity shops too, its amazing what you can pick up theat can be recyled for a card

Depending where in SW Scotland you are - try Craft Central in Carlisle they are situated in the large Garden centre off on the A69 towards Newcastle just off the M6.
