i can't move things on my desktop any more ,when i click and drag they change colour but don't move ,this is very annoying as when i create shortcut ,i can't put things in folders ,please someone help me!!!!!

I'm far from an expert so apologise in advance if I'm wrong but try this. Click the Windows Start tab & go into 'Control Panel', click on 'Display', then 'Desktop'. If the bottom box is ticked, that's the problem.

Sorry, after you click on 'Desktop' click the 'Web' tab & the box to untick is at the bottom. Told you I was no pro! Hope it works.

thanks for trying, ell 1e that didn't work ,the lock desktop items box wasn't ticked ,so it must be something else

Hi....try right clicking on a blank bit of your destop then chose "arrange icons by"...then make sure "auto arrange" hasnt got a tick by it.
