I have a little problem: when I stop using my mouse after a few seconds the pointer starts to wander on it's own. this is very anoying. I have noticed it since I changed mouse but can't see what difference this should make (I am quite well up in technology) hence fell rather frustarated.
Any ideas on the mobile mouse ?

Is it wireless or attached?

sounds like a wireless thingy.

could be that you have something in the way of the signal or there could be another wireless device close by that is giving your mouse weak signals....

if is attached, take the ball out of the mouse and clean the three rollers that the ball makes contact with. these can become vary cloged.

it is a wired optical mouse. I literally chucked my wireless kit out as it drove me mad and I got an honest wired mouse or at least I thought it was honest looks like it has a mind of it's own
Ah, that's why I asked. I used to have a wired optical mouse which did exactly the same thing. If it's anything like mine, you'll find that if you watch it carefully, you'll spot the mouse itself moving! I fixed mine by trapping the cable under the monitor stand to stop the cable sliding the mouse around, but you have to get the free length just right. Too short, and it pulls the mouse, too long and it pushes it (as the cable has a tendency to straighten itself).
