hey, we are soon going to move to the 'Unlimited 1Mb Broadband & Unlimited local evening & weekend calls' With NTL, I just want to know whether i will beable to connect my laptop wirelessly to the interent, if so, how much will it cost?

I have that setup. You will need a router, I have a belkin 54g, I had some problems setting up but it now works fine. Good Luck

I have the same setup with a linksys router.

Should cost well under �50, especially if your laptop is wi-fi enabled.

Try not to get a USB modem! See if they offer you the choice of a modem router.
