Lost bookmarks

Is there any way to retrieve bookmarks? I followed an earlier post to organise my bookmarks and was doing pretty well working my way thro the mess that I had, then a slip of the right mouse button and WHAM I'd deleted a whole folder of them - some took a lot of finding too. Damn!! And of course "PLEASE CAN YOU HELP?"

It's always worth doing a

Start - search - all files and folders

Type in bookmarks.

Have you checked your Recycle Bin?

Thanks guys but no luck so far - the only thing I have done is to import some very old bookmarks from Internet Explorer - I now use Firefox. Will keep trying.

firefox automatically makes a backup of your profile, including bookmarks.
