Ebay Returns
11 Answers
Does anyone know what happens to an item if you have a dispute with the seller and ask for a refund from ebay?
If the item returns the item to ebay, what do they do with it?
Does it get returned to the seller?
Thanks in advance.

All contracts exist between buyer and seller, ebay have no part in transactions at all except to enable you to open disputes between yourself and those you have transacted with.
Ebay cannot refund you as it is nothing to do with them. When you buy something on Ebay, you pay the seller direct and if unhappy have to negociate a return with the seller. Ebay is never involved themselves and if the seller declines to give you a refund generally that's it, except in exceptional circumstances such as if you pay via paypal when your money may be refundable.
Chappie, sounds like you haven't looked into how eBay works yet. Go to the site and click on Help. There's a whole section there where you'll find a huge, comprehensive section dealing with every conceivable aspect of eBay. Also, click on Community, which opens up to reveal a Q&A section, discussion boards, workshops, answer centre, etc. There's enough stuff there to keep you occupied for weeks!
