Does anyone know a free website and easy instructions for a novice to record LP's to CD's.Thank in advance.

where you can also get a demo of LP ripper which allows you to rip individual tracks from the full side recording

it is free--install it then connect ur record deck to the line in socket on ur pc--depending on ur record deck u may need what is called a pre-amp--cost about �20--this amplifies the output from ur record deck which otherwise may be too weak to drive ur sound card on ur pc--run audacity and choose line in as ur source--play ur lp and click record at same time--ideally u want to record each track seperately otherwise u end up with 1 large sound file and cannot play individual tracks when u burn it to cd

Thankyou steve0 & ajmmac will try both of these sites to see which one I can understand as I am still a novice at recording.I have purchased a screened cable from Maplins and put the white & red jack from my HI-FI and one blue jack to my computer,but the rest I am worried incase I make a mistake.Thanks to you both once again.
