Is there any way to get internet access without a land line or cable? I have just bought a static caravan in the lake district and would like to be able to access the internet through my laptop. I have a motorla V3x Mobile, is there any way to use that as a modem?

You can definitely use a V3 as a modem, but it might work out a bit expensive! If you load up the "Motorola Phone Tools" disc it should show you how to do it.
if you buy a 3g card for your laptop you can pay by the megabyte. i think to use your phone, it might be an extra 40 a month on your bill (contract necessary) and maybe extra when you exceed a certain small download allowance. plus, it will need 3g coverage to get a good 400kbit connection, which may not be available in the countryside
