Does anybody know of a website where you have access to death archives from past newspapers. It would be for about 12-14 years ago. I can't find one anywhere. The British Library hasn't got what I want.

Yes, I could go into the local library but as I live in France that's not going to be easy!! hence searching a site...
I had cause to seek out a news story from a few years ago and was advised by the local evening paper that the central library held copies on microfiche and going through them would be a lot cheaper! Twenty minutes on a fiche reader and 50p for a printout and I was done.
Although most local papers have some form of archive on their websites, they generally cover news stories and I doubt any would go back that far. I'd email whichever library it is and explain your situation - you're sure to be pointed in the right direction. Merci, lafrancaise!
