When i was at primary and secondary school (i am 25 now) we had to play an educational computer game called Martello Towers. The aim of the game was to work your way to the top of the tower and unlock a wall with a pattern called the Mystic Rose. Would any one know where i could get a copy of this for a pc? Thanks x

Bloody good question!!! I immediately got all nostaglic (being 27 now) and searched high and low for this. I love a good hunt. It was hard work but I finally managed to track it down

Thanks! Do i need an emulator for this though? Im a bit of a technophobe so will probably have trouble with this, isn't it a great game? I loved it at school. Most people i have asked have thought i am strange and not known what im talking about! x
I tired to work out how to play the thing and haven't had much luck so far.

I can't remember how to use BBC computers - too much time spent playing games on them me thinks :-)

I'll update this answer as soon as I have worked it out.
Martello Towers is here:

Emulator to run it is here:

Don't forget that the formula for the Mystic Rose is
N*(N-3)/2 (Where N is the number of vertices!)
