I seriously doubt that you need to know this (so am scratching my head at why I'm even typing it!) but the formula which generates the answers to this is called "Zeller's Algorithm"

I can't even imagine that this will come up in a pub quiz!

I had to incorporate it into a program that I wrote at uni.
I don't even know what the purpose of the program was or how it involved dates! Maybe something about booking reservations at a hotel...
