If it is new contact the shop and tell them you are not happy with the bed - it is not fit for the purpose.
If you've had it some time, turn the bedroom heating off/down, open the windows, use pure cotton sheets and turn the bedding down during the day.
Good luck!
In fact to tell you to buy a topper suggests they know the mattress is not suitable for sleeping on.
Write to them again, stating you have given the mattress a fair trial but it is unsatisfactory to the point of being unusable.
Ask them for a refund - a full refund. Do not be fobbed off with partial refunds, replacements or credit notes.

send a copy of this sheet (print screen and argue that the heat wakes you therefore it is inherently faulty for the purpose of sleeping.
I once had occasion to sleep on this type of mattress for a couple of weeks in the middle of summer and it retained so much heat that I nearly cooked to death so I sympathise. I suggest you go back to the shop and say you want a refund. A product has to be serviceable and it is clearly not fulfilling the needs you expected. If necessary, contact the Trading Standards Department of your local council for some specific advice, or the Citizens Advice Bureau..
In the meantime I can only suggest as a short-term remedy that you fill a hot water bottle every night with ice-cold chilled water from a bottle you have stored in your fridge for the purpose. Alternatively get a couple of freezer gel packs. freeze them & wrap them in a light cloth and put them in a waterproof bag and take them to bed with you.
Don't allow the manufacturer to fob you off though. You are obviously not happy with the product and things will only get worse for you as the warmer weather arrives.
