Is there any way I can get the Windows 98/NT Find Files application? I want to install it on Win XP/2K...I don't like the new-look web based search.

I think you are stuck with it. I must admit, I prefer the NT version although the Windows 2000 one is ok (just a bit tarted up) unlike the XP one which is unbearable.

I sure hope you're wrong, j2buttonsw, because I'm going to keep looking!...and when I find it I'll tell you!!
The best of luck! Someone told me the new find was integrated into the IE web browser? I know you can download 3rd party find-type programs but it is not the same as the original.

I'm looking at the possibility of using a "shell extension" (although I've never programmed them). It seems I could reprogram rt-click "search" for a folder but reassigning "start-key + F" (the most common way I use search) may not be possible...let's see....I think I'll be really cruel to my XP system and replace some dlls with older ones (from 98) and see how things go!!!
