Changing colour

When attempting to make a Card List in Word I decided to use a different font and colour - but every line it reverts back to the original font and colour! I've been told that this is one of Word's annoying habits - but I really would be grateful if anyone knows of a way round this, as my typing is pretty slow at the best of times!! Thank you.

One way around this problem is to type the document out completely, then highlight the parts you want to change (using your cursor). Click on font, then colours... I'm sure you know from here.

Thanks gazza - where Word is concerned I'm practically a novice - what I wanted was a different font and colour for the whole document, not just a bit - does your advice still apply here?

Type the document in the default font/colour. Use control+A to select all of the text (ie all of the text should be highlighted) then use the format > font menu to change the font type and colour. Save your changes and you should be laughing.

Instead of using your cursor, you can also go into "edit," click "select all" and then change the colours, font, etc.
