I had this problem when I downloaded a newer version of Windows Media Player on my PC, I fixed it by downloading a codec which you can find help with through your windows media player online help guide which takes you to a website where you can choose a suitable codec for your computer, some of them need a subscription to but don't do that because you can find free ones. Hope this is of some help.
