Samsung D500 Screen

Can anyone help,I have a Samsung d500 which was a year old on 27/4/06 and on the 2/5/06the screen just went funny when i turned it on,all i can see is the bottom 5th of the screen the rest is just white,i have taken the battery off and left it for a while to see whether that would help but it didn't so i was wondering if anyone has experienced this or knows whats the matter......
It seems like there is a clock that ******* it up when it is out of warrenty.............

there is a ribbon bable between the front and back of the phone, which allows the slide function.

among other things, this transfers the information to be displayed on the screen.

If part of this is damaged, which can happen through normal use, then problem like the one you explained can we experienced
