Lost Camera Charger

Hi,

Ive lost my Sony 4.0 Mega Pixel Cyber Shot DSC-P9 charger. Sony are having a laugh and wanna charge me �60 for a new one.

Do i have any alternatives, are there any generic chargers out there?

i personally wouldnt use a generic one, if something happens to the camera sony could use the fact you are NOT using a sony charger as an escape to fix or reimburse you for any damage. I totally agree with you, �60 is extortion, plain and simple. This is how these big companies make their money, unfortunately.

..incidentally Skids is correct - there are loads on ebay, some for as little as �20 inc postage.

Thanks everyone, particularly Kempie. I got the new charger through yesterday from the 1st link you posted. It works fine, it cost �10 plus �4 postage and it arrived in 4 days from Hong Kong. If a small company in Hong Kong can afford to get one made for �10, how much can Sony get one made for? And how much money are they making if they�re selling it for �60. Outrageous!!!!

Last time my sony camera charger was broken, i bought the charger from http://www.tmart.com/Camera-Chargers/, you can come there and hope it can help you.
