I tried to change the settings and it works for incoming mail but not for outgoing mail. I couldn't use your link as it won't send!!!! Can you help me a little more please? My email address uses btconnect rather than btinternet, if this helps. Many thanks in advance.

If that doesn't do the trick, last resort..go to Logmein homepage and download free software and then i can set you up from mine. post answer on here if thats what you have to do. If you want to send a message meanwhile go to Wanadoo web mail and log in with your address and it will let you send mail from there
