Mobile Price Plans
Can anyone explain to me why I would have to have a new Mobile number if I opted for a different price plan than the one I'm currently on with Vodafone. Yet if I were to go to another service provider I could take my number with me? As a result of this I have just had to pay for a handset (okay it was cheap - but that's not the point) that would have been free and on a cheaper price plan if I'd signed a new contract.
One of my work colleagues has just told me that her self-employed husband (who has his mobile number listed on his works vehicle) has found a way of getting around this. So, he stays with his service provider, ops periodically for new tarrifs and gets to keep his mobile number. Anyone know how he does this?
