Problem with full screen

When i try watching a dvd on my pc with power dvd, i can hear it but have no picture. if i click on the corner of the screen to adjust the size of it the picture flickers on and off, but as soon as i stop moving the screen the picture goes again. any ideas greatly appreciated

download vlc and use that instead:
