copying music files to a memory stick

I have just purchased a, PNYTechnology Attache USB 2.0 Flash Drive 2 GB (memory stick) or (Data storage) My problem is I have copied 112 MP3s to it ok ..and the next has generated the message .."Cannot copy ..the directory or file cannot be created " Have tried different music files but still get the same message . Its only 25% full ..so am somewhat puzzled . Could anybody help me .. thank you .

They can use up valuable space on your Flash Drive. These utilities may be useful (up to you) but can be deleted if you have no need for them.
Copy everything on your stick back to your PC, then format the flash drive. Check that it you have the full 2GB (or just under once formatted) when the job is done. If you don't have the full space the flash drive is corrupt and should be returned.

...this is an update ..couldnt do anything with the stick so returned it to pc world..they gave me another of the same ..but same problem only loading to 25 % full. I purposely checked the memory from the onset ..it was 1.92 GB as it was on the other one . . but there is no built in softwear in it from what i can see . Completely at a loss now.
thought of that ..but there all ok ..i find if i delete one ..it will then copy it ..its suggesting its full all the time .. as i ve said this is the second stick ..so will take it back and hopefully get my money back .. shall srear clear of pny products from now on ..will have to shop about for another make . .thank you for your replies . I just remembered, many years ago, having a similar problem trying to copy clipart files to a 100MB Zip Disk.
If all the files were copied straight to the root of the disk you could only fit a certain number on the disk before it "maxxed out".
I bet you are having the same problem here - you will need to make folders and put your MP3's into them.
You could try doing this with just two folders at first, I bet your capacity will increase!
