ok, i think i know the memory (192 mb of ram
) and i know i need more but if u type memory card into ebay it comes up with a lot of complicated gobbledegook that i dont understand. help!!

I was in your situation and finally I opened the case and took out the memory module........I took it to PC World and told them what I wanted........now thanks to their adviceI have a gig of ram and a much faster machine.............

i cud do that, except i wudnt have a clue which bit was the memory.

If you go here
http://www.crucial.com/uk/systemscanner/
and run the scanner, it will tell you what you currently have fitted - and if need be you can buy memory from them too.
I am a complete techie numptie but ran the scan at crucial, bought the memory they recommended - a good price - it arrived next day. Hurrah!

Clear instructions. Up and running after 10 minutes. Best thing I ever did for my PC.
lol...well if you wouldn't know which was the memory.....how're you going to put some new modules in even if you do get them?.............suggest you take the computer to PC World or your favourite local computer geek and get them to do it for you...............you could even damage something else if you are so "Non-Tech" ;-)
