How do you mean you listed your DVDs onto your computer? If you mean like a text list, you can open/create one using Excel, select the collumn with dvd title then press the 'Ascending' button with the A-Z picture.

Not sure if thats what you meant though??

If it's in word then try pasting it into excel.

If you have more than just the title make sure you highlight all columns before sorting

You can highlight the list in word click Table and from the dropdown list select sort.
Take a look at DVD Profiler.

If you have not got your DVDs in a table then Yorky Lass' suggestion won't work unless you highlight all of your data then click Table and Convert and choose convert text to table.

That will put it in a table which you can then sort as per her instructions.

And having a go at it myself I've learnt something new so thank you Yorky Lass for the suggestion.

I've found you don't have to convert Text to Table. Just highlight the text and click table. Once you have clicked "sort" a box opens - select Field 1 in the Sort By box and select Text in the type box.

I'm using Word 2000 but I thought it would be the same in any Word. I use to do it in Wordperfect too.

Machecoul - learnt something from you too ie Convert Text to Table, thanks

As much as I am grateful for all your answers, but being a computer duff,I am still none the wiser.
For insurance purposes,I have listed all our DVD's on the Microsoft Windows XP Wordpad, saving it on the "Documents" and updating on the new purchase of a DVD.
At the moment, they are in "alphabetical order" in a rough fashion(eg:putting Braveheart in front of the Battle of Britain),but I just fancied doing them properly without the task of doing them one by one.
On the other hand, some of you more wiser ones may say "Why bother,if they are listed A-B?".
